Im going to visit a friend who lives in the northwestern corner of Monroe....about a mile from yontz well. He is taking me for a tour. He said they hit another gusher near the yontz. Big surprise. They are fracking his unit now. I wish I had more info. I will update everyone after the visit. If anyone has any specific questions I can try and find out.

The Antero GARY 2H is probably the "gusher" your friend is talking about.   It was drilled on the same pad as the YONTZ, but in the opposite direction.   If this is not the well he is referring to, I would be interested in knowing which one is the gusher.  What unit is your friend in?   Keylor?   McDougal?  I live in the area and am very interested in any news.

I will find out and let you know. He said they are fracking right now.
Wow. They are saturating that area. Saw warner Wilson Monroe and urban pad. Numerous rigs visible on the sky line. This area is like no place that I have seen.

Here's a shot I took earlier in the year at sunset from Dailey Road just off SR 513 that shows the Warner, Wilson, Carpenter and Urban pads all doing their thing.  Too bad, the original photo also shows the McDougal/Keylor to the extreme right, but the software on GMS won't show the whole frame (but you get the idea).   Lots of action.

If anyone doesn't know what a hot area looks like take a drive around this area. I hope you own some land out there hiker.

Yup.  We do.  It's like winning the lottery.....but the folks along the border of Monroe and Wetzel/Tyler Counties.....well,it will be like winning the Irish Sweepstakes when the triple play is developed.

It is the same way around Barnesville......you can see three wells lighting up the night sky if you drive south out of Barnesville on to one of the ridge roads.

I hope so. The wetzel Tyler line runs right thru my 80 acres on 8 mile ridge. Its about 15 miles as the crow flys from the border. Congrats goes out to everyone in the area. You guys got it going on over there. I'm still in shock about all the activity. If I stood in the middle I could hit several rigs with a rock throw.
My buddy is on the urban pad. His name is Dan m. I don't want to say last names. You will know if u now him. He said they are cracking right now. He also mentioned the color of flaring. He said one of the wells was white when it flared. What does that mean
IMHO white could be water vapor?????
Hiker, Great picture.

Harry:  Thanks.   Too bad I couldn't get the pic of all five wells to transfer.   Maybe I can shrink it.....

Jason:   Someone on GMS a while back said the color of the flare indicated how "wet" the gas was.  Yellow = wet, but white I don't know.  Maybe not so wet?
