This looks great!  Now someone needs to come up with proppant that expands when heated.

On one hand I would hate to see the trucking companies lose work-on the other hand-higher profits for g&o companies and faster fracing = more wells and more checks for landowners.  An even bigger plus is it would take away most of what the 'greens' use to complain about fracing.  Thanks for the link.

I don't think this is such a great idea, though I would be happy to be proven wrong.  

The 2,000 gallons per day CCNG unit fits in a trailer.  OK.  But a well might use 1.5 million gallons of water.  So it takes 750 trailers 1 day OR 1 trailer 750 days to generate enough CCNG for a well.  And how is that CCNG stored exactly while it is being created?  And what does that cost in total compared to other methods?  And does it actually work?  Which are the companies in Texas using CCNG exactly, and what have their experiences been?

Probably because all day long I hear people spinning positive stories, I've become a skeptic.  And CCNG as a fracking fluid strikes me as unlikely to be economical, even if it is technically possible (and I'm not convinced of that either).

We use water as a frack fluid because it is the cheapest and most available liquid.  I don't see water being displaced anytime soon (except by Archimedes).

As for the greens, they will always find something to complain about with fracking.  Greens are opposed to abundant cheap energy which they cannot control themselves to impose their weird lifestyle on everybody else.  Energy is an instrument of control, which is why the greens seek to demonize energy consumption and enforce nutty restrictions on everybody.

My favorite green complaint is that water injected into fracked wells never comes out, which means that it is taken out of the water cycle forever (accompanied with hysterical hand waiving and an earnest look asking "DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!?!?!?!").  When some nutjob green tells you this, ask her what the byproducts are from burning natural gas.  

"Carbon dioxide" she will say, smartly.  

"And....." you will say?  

"And WHAT..." she will say.  

"And H2O aka dihydrogen monoxide aka the fresh water that you have lamented is lost from the water cycle forever is MORE than replaced by the fresh water created by burning natural gas."

At this point she will turn red for a bit and then think.... and then say something about rising sea levels and that burning natural gas is contributing to coastal erosion...

FASCINATING. HOW 'FRESH' IS THIS THOUGHT? *Imagine that! IF it were possible (and SOMEDAY, it MAY be!) ~ THAT would be truly grand. NOT having to be 'held hostage' by our very own personal WATER needs!!! *HOPEFULLY this 'water free' (???) fracking CAN be developed before too much of our H2O is frazzed- in all honesty..***WATER*** is OUR ~MOST~ PRECIOUS RESOURCE. What an idea, drive to accomplish this should in all honesty, be in the forefront...before 'good ole' H2O', gets RUINED/ DESTROYED FOREVER (MILLENNIA)!!!

The 'products' being pursued by this endeavor of 'FRACK WELL MINING' IS rather intriguing. It WAS Arm N. Hammer who FIRST ventured the thought of 'FRACKING' - wise Ru~usky (Russian) come to AMERICA!...He was wisely TALENTED with the forte' of 'SEEING POSSIBILITIES' in manners that OTHERS were just 'stick in the mudd's'! Read about HIM when you get a chance! What an adventure filled life!!! When he was drilling out in Colorado area, I believe, where the Earth is 'dense bedrock' or even 'shale' (I honestly can't recall this specifically...?) BUT he KNEW there was 'product' IN THE GROUND, 'LOCKED UP'...that COULD be withdrawn IF it could be figured out (ENDEAVOR). When I was reading this, the 'fracking' was nil' in thought (for the 'layman' anyway). Maybe not so for the O&G industry...after all - 'you' all have, what...154 YEARS NOW 'under your belt'?! ~ with developing/learning knowledge of gaining insight into these forays of medium ~ now & old...and 'old', but ENHANCED. THAT is 'development', at it's finest.

I DO know (as do YOU) that the *Ameri*CAN* public thinks in some ways 'JUST LIKE YOU'!!! THEY would like 'the cash' TOO! Everybody likes a little 'jingle in their pocket'...that's REALITY. NOBODY has any problems with that ~ be it individuals, companies,...or, hey...even ourGOVERNMENT! ***It takes the cash to pay the rent!  NOW, with THAT 'simple truth' espoused...wouldn't it EVEN BE BETTER ~ IF we COULD somehow withdraw from it's prison, the precious resources that all 'float our boat' & make EVERYONE (*everyone's life!!!) amazingly 'comfortable' in ways NOT endured before.

Everyone loves to use their TUPPERWARE, their plastic bags, all of the 'molded' plastic items...roads, our beloved vehicles, our CREDIT CARDS! (HEY...THINK of all the people who's be stuck WRITING CHECKS!!! ~ IF it weren't for PLASTIC!!! THAT is so HILARIOUS, but in today's day & age...oh, so true. HEY - remember when you were young...they didn't HAVE 'CC' - you either 'paid cash' -OR- you just went without it!!! IF you had a 'CC' - it may be a 'Diner's Club card'...or something like that. ***When you think about it THAT way...maybe PETROLEUM really HAS been the 'downfall' in American's 'money management skills' by making INSTANT CREDIT so EASY!!! ***IAM&amNOT*KIDDING*here!!! Think about THAT!

NOW...back to the 'water' & NOT using it to 'flush/extract' the liquid carbons from 'between the cracks' (like 'between the sheets'!)....IF, IF, IF this 'fracking without water ~AND~ WITHOUT the 'frack chemicals' DOES manage to get successfully accomplished - LET ME KNOW *WHAT COMPANY(s)* is/are doing so - WHO to look at potentially...THAT lights UP my mind ~ and really could ADD to YOUR portfolio, too!!! In fact - I'll be researching WHO & IF this were possible to 'look at' because THIS stock should EXPLODE!!!

BOY, THAT would 'be a race' worth 'winning'!!! The 'intellectual property LOCKUP of THAT potential technology...whew, that could be...I can't even say. Boy, oh, boy, oh boy. ~ even thinking about THAT possibility. The 'profit' from the 'INTELLECTUAL PROPRIETY' - FEES INCURRED for USE of THAT 'technology'...oh, man. What an exciting prospect. Lynn, Lynn, Lynn ~ PLEASE, dear...I can only say *TYPICAL, classic (mindless...) woman-thought. STOP>you have NO CLUE what is being really expressed here. You are unfortunately expressing 'classic woman thought (dare I say/idiot woman thought?)...*UNFORTUNATELY, WOMEN usually do NOT have the capacity to  'think outside the box' in these manners - necessary to 'business'. PLEASE do not 'take offence' to this, it's just happens to be an unfortunate FACT. *Men invented women's 'feminine products' to help 'free up & make a woman's life EASIER...then 'women' had the audacity to...just nuts. RIGHT NOW the WATER is basically 'cooked'/ messed with, messed up / destroyed...that is why I say that someday - we'll pay more for WATER than gas &/or oil! ***what about water for cows so they can process in their bodies the milk we love for cheese, ice cream, milk & chocolate milk (you know...the stuff from BROWN COWS!...laugh!!!). How about for the 'cooking' that individuals do...WATER. It's truly NO small matter to trifle with. We should maybe 'take a straw' from that checkbook...IF this CAN be accomplished.... IF Arm N. Hammer were here (OXY)...he would have ALREADY FIGURED it out! Genius. He just happened to die before he could get to THAT.... SO NOW...if the 'torch' can be carried on. Oh, my. ***interesting proposition: g&o co.'s offering an award (as well as...whatever - we'll figure THIS, the details, out later!) for DISCOVERY of this nature...It could change everything.

'being hungry', sometimes is the only rational DRIVE to unlock the keys to the kingdom. BOY, would THIS be exciting! Sometimes 'jewels' can be garnered, IF you keep your nose to the grindstone, your ears to the wall, and your eyes observant & open! CCNG(?)...I'll do my homework on THIS...can you espouse some companies working on this? Now THIS I can 'work with...'tech'.

Ron D.J. - all points made are valid. However, one MUST take a pragmatist outlook toward any & all possibilities WHILE remaining optimistic and observant of positive outcomes. USUALLY, when there is an idea such as this proposed, it is initially seen as an improbable possibility, THEN ~ some 'accidental mistake', completely unplanned 'happens'. Then & only then does it require the sleuth & keen mind to 'pick up on & catch' ***what has changed & what has stayed the same***
