You can bet that the O&G industry asking you to amend your lease is not for your benefit.  They do not offer any incentives.  Ask them "What are you willing to give to get what you want"  I am sure that the line will go silent. They are not going to Offer any changes that you may want or any financial consideration. Business is a give and take. Just say NO.

My lease was amended a year and a half ago, (Thanks to a line my Dad penned in on the original lease in 1974). Took an attorney and a bunch of $, but we settled. Same time that I signed a lease on a separate track with CNX, not attached to this piece, or even close. They pulled and plugged the old well this past summer, before it sold to AEP. They had to pay, changed to no surface clause, 5 years and a higher %! Gentleman today said if I didn't go along, they would just leave my acreage out and work around it. Might never be in a well. He's coming to the house next week with the information. Going to show me the plan for the site and where my acreage would come into play. No one else has this chance, curse. Everyone else is HBP. Thanks for all of every ones input.
