I am looking for a map that shows the drilling units on a map. Does anyone know where I can obtain that on the Web?

I don't think you can find this info on the web, I have looked several times. I think the courthouse is the only source I know of.
You could make one. Down load google earth. Then go to DEP web site and find the well permits for the county you are interested in. Write down the digital location (this will be like 41.xxxxxxx -80.xxxxxx.) Load them into google earth and you have a map. I'm logging Mercer, Crawford and Venango Counties as the permits come out. Now this isn't the drilling unit it just pinpoints the well location. Hope I helped.
I'm looking for drilling units, to see which one I am eventually going to be in, they seem to keep changing the lines.
I kind of thought that but wasn't sure. Seems like I read it somewhere that you can get this information from PADEP you would have check with them but i believe there is a cost.
The best information is at Butler county, Pennsylvania Free Public Records Directory. Scroll down to the deeds. Access deeds and do a simple search. Type in your name or anyones name and it will show all real estate transactions starting with the most recent. If you are in a unit it will be there. Hope this helps.
Here is a possible source for the info your looking for:

But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
