Where did the 6000 + feet of TOP SOIL come from ??

At one time.. the TOP SOIL of the earth was at a level 6000 feet and LOWER....then NOW....

According to all of the Geologists....

FOSSILS... in the Shale etc....

Actually the SHALE was the bottom of a SALTY SEA....which THEN would have been

the SURFACE of the Earth...

SOOOOOO.... My Question is... where the heck did all of the DIRT ROCKS AND TOP SOIL

come from to RAISE the ourter surface of the Earth to the PRESENT level....???????????????

and where did the OCEANS go.....

Space Dust   ??

Tell me Oh smart ones   :)     I'm dumb on these things.....

I'm only a layman landowner struggling to make sense of many things that on their surface make no sense to me at all.

Finding numerous such things to ponder !
