I received a letter from chesapeake informing me that I am in a unit. They sent me a copy of the plat map showing that I had a very small part of land in this unit. It was extremely small and hard to see so I decided to look it up online and found out that the original with the ohio seal on it does not show me in the unit. I am wondering if anyone else has heard of this and if there are any steps I could or should take. I would prefer not to be in the unit as I have a several acres and it seems they may have just nicked the corner of my property to hbp...? Any ideas? Thanks to all who can help.

Found the map here http://www2.dnr.state.oh.us/mineral/OHRbdmsOnline/WebReportAccordio...
and I believe it is drilled but am not sure.
I still believe they are going to hold by production all of my acres by saying I have 1/4 acre in this unit. If not I would soon be up for another sign on bonus which would be great but as is I might get a couple bucks a month.
Wonder if they are doing this to others but so far no one is responding here.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
