I'm sure they are Michael.

It's just the time consumed waiting for the Lease to be sold to the Developers that concerns me.

I think I've got a little more time to wait before really getting serious about a Top Lease or other alternatives to consider / act on......I'm trying hard not to waste any time at all if possible.

Thanks for your reply.

If you hear of any more activity don't forget to post it on this Ashtabula County Group page.....I for one will be keeping a close lookout for your posts.

Good luck to us all.

Peter,

Could you please elaborate on RKR Resources? Your website didn't help much with that. Are you a drilling company? If not, who are you acquiring leases for? Do you have experience leasing in Ohio?

Hello Brad,

I apologize for the delay. No, we are not a drilling company. Shoot me an email tomorrow at plambrou@rkrresources.com and I'll happily answer any question you have. Or, call the office at 724-884-2929 and select my extension.

I look forward to speaking with you

Regards,

Peter

John,

My name is Vicki Smith, I am a landowner who myself has recently gone through the leasing process on my property.

I now work with individuals and landowner owner groups,  educationing them on leasing and helping them also get a good landowner friendly lease for their property.  I would be happy to meet and/or talk with you about leasing in the areas you mentioned.

Please to contact me at:  330-303-8245  or  vickismith.leasing@yahoo.com

Are you an Attorney or Licensed Real Estate Agent?

Hi, I have property in Colebrook and I am trying to find an oil and gas co. that will pay at least 3000.00 an acre...I seem to be having problems with that, but others are telling me Trumbell county is leasing for almost 4000.00 an acre...can someone please enlighten me with the name of that company or one that is worth signing with. I am not interested in landowner contracts though. Thank you.

Hi Judy, the big Trumbull county group has a deal @$3900 per acre , BP being the buyer. Ashtabula County is not that far along yet. There are organizations working the county but not close to that type of money yet. My advice is to attend as many meetings and gather as much information as you can. Information is king. Ashtabula County is going to take awhile.

Thanks Dan! How can I find the meetings that would be beneficial to help with what im looking for? Do you know the going rate for  an  acre out in Ashtabula county or does it vary? I am very new to this and I do not want to make a mistake and end up signing a bad deal. The two companies that have responded to me so far seem to both be at 1600.00 with what seems to be very similar contracts. One of the major differences though is one contract actually offers, up front, 2400.00 an acre for the second 5 yrs. Just seems odd to me that they say its not worth that much to them, but their price goes up for the 2nd 5 yr contract. If you could possibly guide me as to which meetings would be good to go to, I would appreciate it. I live near Cleveland so Im trying to find meetings that are closer to me. Its a long ride after a long day at work..but i really would like to go. Thanks again!

Plenty of meetings around by all the different groups ,  hard for you because of living out of town. Most have websites you can go to and find meeting schedules. I know that the F&M group #2 has a meeting on May 1st in Jefferson 6PM. NELA has a bunch on the way. You just missed the Eastern Ashtabula Landowners Association  meeting in Andover ,  they can be reached at eala.shale@gmail.com for information. Almost a full time job keeping up with all the meetings , but that's how to keep informed.  This site is a great place to keep up on what's going on.

Nothing worth talking about. Waiting for better lease offers.. 2000.00 pre acre seems low to me . I would hope to see 3750.00 per acre by summer..  It will get there..
