No unit has been filed with our courthouse yet, so the easy way to find out isn't available. You can go to Pa's DEP website and email them a request for the plat, but it is a hard link to find there. Let me look for it right now...

I believe that you send your request to this link;
http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/topogeo/about/katiesfb.aspx

You need to submit the permit number, name, location and anything else you can use to id the pad with. Ask for any information available, or  just the plat, your choice.....they tend to email you real quick the files you ask for. Hope this helps cause I don't have the time to do it myself right now.

Good Luck!

All wells around here are oriented to the north west or the south east and usually in the direction where the majority of contiguous leased parcels are in their production unit. Fault lines in the shale run roughly east west. Drilling 90 degrees to the fault lines results in enhanced production.

Email Katherine for a very fast response.

hey thanks i tried to search for permit number no luck yet but ill figure it out

Cody Trust Permit # 007-20332-00-00

When you receive the well plat kindly post it here.

The Cody well is called->   Cody Trust BEA 3J OG Well

permit# is

007-20332

located in Industry Boro, Beaver County.

Email this info to the address I listed above and you will get your answer, however the unit shown on the plat may include land that won't be drilled, ie   they might drill the South South East leg and not the North West leg, but the NW leg will be included in the unit.

Let me know how you make out.

Sorry, it is Cody Trust BEA 3H OG Well. Noticed it too late to edit.

i sent for it will try to post when i get it thanks for the help allen -craig

Can't open it. All plats are sent in a mail attachment as a PDF file (Adobe). You must have changed the extension. It might still be in your e-mail just copy and paste the PDF into a forum reply.

well see if this works- after looking at plat map im so close to being in that unit guess i will have to wait for recorder of deeds to post info -saw rig dismantled today - http://98.138.199.243/ya/securedownload?mid=2_0_0_1_25907_AHXHimIAA...

Please remember that the unit outline that they filed with the original permit request will most likely not be the outline of the first declared unit. Most leases, or the addendums that were signed in our area, Allow them to change the units at just about any given time as well.....which they have done, as per the Thompson well.

Nope, dead link. I suppose the drilling rig is next heading for Jenkins.
