The Nomac rig, which came from Ohio, moved in last week and is up and drilling, casing and cementing right now at the McDanel site. The McDanel pad is on Old Blackhawk Road around 3 miles from Blackhawk Road on the left side. You can't miss it. I have to say one thing: I have witnessed the sounds of the rig and all of its components inside the sound barriers and I can tell you those panels really work when you are on the outside. Unbelievably quiet. One of a few, with hopefully many more, great moves by CHK.
When they are done they are going to move to the CTG pad, just down the road abit farther on the right. The CTG pad is just about finished with the Sound abatement panels all up soon. You won't be able to see much, if anything, as this pad is back in abit.
I'll post any new info on the McDanel well here.

They have finished drilling and have moved the rig to the CTG pad just down the road. On a side note I was told by a rig contractor that they got a drill bit stuck along with two collars down hole. They cemented around it, kicked out and finished. He said they left over $1 million dollars cemented down there.
