Gary, I live at 199 Upper Service Road in Hookstown. Would you have any idea how far is the well from me (as the crow flys) ?  Shippingport  is behind me to the right.  Many Thanks in advance !    Nancy

I would say about 3 miles ..it is about a mile from the stop signs in Hookstown on Hill road

Thank you for this information, Jason !   The Best of Luck to the McMasters.... they have been having a hard time with Uncle Sam, since Mr. McMasters has passed.

You're welcome - As for Uncle Sam - it's a future problem for ALL property owners - estate taxes will most likely be including potential reserves of gas from your acreage.
Better load up on life insurance - I told my wife - it may be the only way to give the farm to my kids - the value of the land + gas will push us all into millionaires (on paper at least). I'd hate to sell the gas rights to keep the land or vice versa.

There are going to be lawsuits filed in that area from what I hear. CHK is using  force majeure to hold expiring leases....which is BS from what I understand. It's gonna get interesting.
