Way to go W, you started me thinking (no small task). Back in Oct-Nov I saw several filings which didn't make much sense at the time. Dzubia North was one of them.
The only difference I could see at the time in the Landex search was the grantors, so I used the map from the second one in my units map since they were identical. There were several at the time, but I don't know how to go back and retrieve them.
Here are the 2 instruments for Dzubia North. what do you see?

well....I'm gonna have to put my glasses on for this one. so it will probably take me a while to find 'em.
here is one thing that I've always known about that unit, the biggest landowner in it is a chief lease. he is my neighbor and we talk often. he is not aware of any changes, his royalty checks haven't changed, there is no difference from his perspective...yet.

I looked the map over, I read a bunch of the lease info, a little of the recital. I'm done, what am I missing?
Does Chief market their share?
yes, chief markets their own, takes deductions and usually gets a higher price than chk.
one of chief's small partners markets their own too, not sure how they do on pricing, but they don't take deductions. it's a small share of production though.

The only difference I can see is on the first one CHK is the grantor, on the second it is Chief. Must mean something.
I wonder if chk is still gonna operate though, no change on the sign board yet.

The last filing was mid Nov, so probably first change if any would have been Feb check (Dec production).

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
