seismic testing

We have been contacted by Geo Kinetics (SP?) who wants to sign us up for seismic testing on our property. What is known about this? Does it mean that wells are coming this way (if things look good)? does anyone know what exactly the testing tells them and if you can get a copy of the results?

Here in New Albany they completed siesmic testing, said they were going to put a well on my neighbors property back in May, now they decided to move the well 1/2 mile SSE further away from New Albany towards L&R Sporting Goods if any of you know where that is. Supposed to be a well going in along RT 220 south of N.A. about 1/2 mile on the west side of 220 too. This is just rumor so far, no permits issued that I am aware of. I believe you can go into "The Pennsylvania Bulletin" and find permits issued by week. This also includes regulations that are being changed.
