"I didn't realize this thread was so old.. sorry..
but that doesn't change my question... I think we are about the only people in Bradford county ready to pack it in and just sell our natural gas rights...The only thing I can figure out is…"
"We live in Franklindale too. Our five year lease with CPK expired. They offered a 2 year extension at half the value. How would we know if we are in an area with faulting? They had the seismic testing and still…"
"I agree with Frank. Also a hole dug for a water impoundment could in the future be very enticing as a storage pond for other drilling fluids, not that this would be brought up initially, but I think it should be considered a very real…"
"There was a time, not all that long ago, when I would have agreed with your opinion on this.
Recent revelations mitigate against your thinking, however. To wit:
Apparently, in many instances, Bradford County shales are extremely tight.…"
"You are obviously a prescient person. You wrote the above more than five months ago. With NG today at or below $3.00, your wisdom is showing through the haze.

"No...aside from a small dog training business. A local farmer bales about 15to acres but does not pay for that as it keeps the open land open for us. Could be some timber income on the property but we have not looked into it as the price of timber…"
"We have 120 acres, Franklindale, currently not leased....not really looking to sell, but would consider an offer if enticing enough....(dont come to me with less than 3M however :)
Newer home (2005) ... 4 bedrooms, 3 bath, finished…"
"wow....sounds like a good deal....where are you in Bradford County? Not sure where Talisman is focusing. I have been pretty screwed by Chesapeake. they dont want to offer me anything for my acreage, (120)...say they are just going…"
