Anyone ever hear of anything called the "Towanda Thrust" a section of the Marcellus with a high salt content?
I think there is a possiblity that a landman is setting us up to think our land is not worth as much as others by putting us in this so called area. I've tried googling it and searching it and can find nothing on it.

Rob, Salt is not an issue in the Marcellus formation because of the way it was formed 390 million years ago. Faulting in your area could be a problem. There are a few areas in the marcellus that have geological issues and have ended leasing in those townships.
Ask the landman to prove there is a salt issue or tell him to have his crewchief call you with the facts.

I didn't realize this thread was so old.. sorry..
