its in colliers up behind highland hills cwb we only have a little over 2.5 acres there .I don't look for them to drill in 5 yrs they are to buisy maxing out the exitsting pads they purchased from cheseapke but you never know

cwb dps contacted me also offered me $2500 an acre I told him I got $3000 an acre 5 yrs ago he said ok they will prob do the $3000 ended up $3000 an acre 16% royalty absolutely no deductions what so ever in the contract this is in brooke county also

That's interesting Kyle. I had been in contact with DPS, an agent for SWN. They offered 2750/acre and 16% net. They wouldn't move from that. I told them to go pound salt. Then 2 weeks later they offered my neighbors around my property 3250/acre and 16% net or 18% gross. Around which area was the 4000/acre and 18% gross? Also, I sent you my contact info. I would like to chat with you.

It has been a while since anyone has posted here.  Looks like an update is in order.  

SWN has started picking up new leases and renewing expiring leases they bought back in the day from CHK.  We've been able to get $4000/acre and 18% gross from them.  Would be interested to see if anybody has been able to do better.

If the company is of any size they should be a corporation or "doing business as". Each State is different in which office oversees corporations but in WV the "Secretary of State" office has this info. You can search any corporations standing and date of incorporation and any event or change of status at the secretory of state website. If they are "doing business as" WV calls this a "True Name" or "Fictisios Name". The site is

http://apps.sos.wv.gov/business/corporations/

You can find any complaints filled against them at the Attorney Generals Office but if they talk to 1000 people or more you shouldn't be alarmed by one or two complaints. Of course the advice of good legal council and tax council would be wise also. Good Luck

Mr. Allison,

Easiest and fastest way is to go to the Brooke County Courthouse in Wellsburg and make a copy of the "Declaration and Notice of Pooled Unit" aka the DPU.
