There doesn't seem to be any postings or information on this site to actually help land owners. How about people posting their current offers and the area where they are. Or how about someone posting a list of the companies that are acquiring leases and their contact information? For instance, I have no idea who to contact at Exxon or Chevron. Even if the landman is in a different area they can point the landowner to the correct contact within their organization. This should be a sticky post. Where is the post that reads, "Looking to lease mineral rights? Contact these 10 companies" and list their phone numbers.

There used to be a place where you could see the current lease offers and terms but I can't seem to find that myself.  I'm in Jackson TWP Butler County and trying to find people that have been contacted to renew their current lease.  My lease is due to expire Jan 2012.

Try this site, it might help you out a little.

http://www.shalebiz.com/ you might have to copy and paste.

go to butler county deeds pa

access deeds

simple search

put your leasing company names in simple search (examples) pc exploration, phillips, BLX, atlas, williams production appalachia, xto ,sweppi,,

pc exploration, phillips, xto are all exxon mobile oil

sweppi is for shell oil

blx is looking to sell there leases to Exxon Mobile or hightest bidder

you must find out who is leasing the ground in your area to make units .  The more acres you have the better your deal could be.

look up you neighbors leaseses to see how many are leased . The more that are leased the more valuable your land will be.

try instrument search you can access your deeds and others by book and page .  This helps if you have more than one parcel .caution deeds that start with book under 700 will not be on line you must go to the Butler county court house .  It does not cost you anything to look up deeds there but take allot of quarters if you want copies of any deeds.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Sarah and Glenn. You were very helpful.
