For anyone interested, I have attached the Halterlein Well Plats from Mercer Township, Butler County. It looks like 11 wells from the same pad.
5 horizontals headed northwest, and 6 horizontals headed southeast.

I did notice the 8-9 wells permitted by XTO for AK steel also had other letter designations. AK is right close to XTO's processing plant - might be one to keep an eye on.

They have 400-1200 acre units. From their reports it's about 80 acres per well. I think it depends on wet/dry make-up of gas. Dry gas seems to have longer laterals and more wells per pad.
It looks like they are getting ready to drill here again. they have run that big temporary water line back to the sight that they just gathered up a few months ago. it is probably a 10" line that goes about 3/4 mile so they must be seeing some good results.
