Landowners in Butler Co. are really in my opinion sitting on a real hot spot long term. As Rex calls them in their Corp. Presentations "Butler Operated Stacked Pays". Ya pays, not plays, may have…Continue

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |

Hi, They are starting to clear and dig for the pipelines to connnect the Geyer and Kennedy wells.
Hey FMV, Appreciate your time. Here's what's happening: I've met with a Rex landman in my home 3 times to discuss a temporary water line for the Renick pad across 308 from me. 1st time he dropped off two contracts, 1 for temp line and another for a permanent H2O line. Told him NO on permanent line but would look at temp easement. Researched pipeline info and made notes. 2nd time before he came he said he had a notary w/ him- Said NO. Went over changes I requested and he made a list and said he'll be back but Rex would want assurances I would give them a permanent r/w after temp expires. 3rd time we met he said Rex doesn't change agreement except for small things that can be initialed off on. Specifically denied was my wording of when r/w starts and ends(2 year agreement). Told him "not interested in open ended r/w". He left. He called me 2 days later saying he added a beginning date and has a notary w/ him. That's when I pushed back and said never mind "I'm not interested any longer due to open ended r/w. Agent asked if he could visit to talk to me- I said yes-He never showed. I know he talked to my neighbors . Now I get a weak voiced, tail between the legs call asking to meet with me again (message on my ans. machine). I'm not sure whether to hardball and raise price or to ignore. Like everyone else, I like the money and would only deal on a temp H2O line (which seems like a win- win for me)but the wording would have to drastically change. That's the short version! What's your opinion? What would you do? How can I get/keep the upper edge? PS- the agent admitted his boss wants to stick it to landowners. Thanks, Bob A.
I hope to get some pipeline info for you. Will want to PM it to you so you need to friend me.
