I see from the DEP eFacts site that the Ceaser 1H was issued on 3-26-13.

Thanks for the update!

Well Pad Update:  Well pad construction started 4-9-13.  Equipment is staged and minor dirt work has started.  Driveway is cut in.  E&S controls being installed.

Caesar Unit was just recorded, 2 wells on 1028 acres.

Interesting info. Is that at the Butler Courthouse?

I wonder if a map is available. Thanks for the info!

Archer,

I attached the Ceaser Unit Declaration recorded yesterday.

Oliver, thanks for the fast response!

The Ceaser unit is "my well", but my name does not appear on the list of land owners.  Is this declaration pertinent to only one of the two wells?  The well currently being constructed is only less than a half mile south of me.

Thanks,

Al Jarrett

Al,

I deleted my previous reply because I got the Ceaser well plats and now realize I was wrong about my description of the situation. The plats show the 1H well headed southeast and some of it is outside of the boundary shown on the unit declaration map. To be honest, I don't understand what is happening with the Ceaser unit. It seems to me the 1H well would have to be totally inside of the unit, but the well plat clearly shows some of it outside the boundary.

Does anybody else have an idea of what is happening with this unit? I have never seen this situation before. I will post the plats in a separate thread.

I also noticed that.  It looks like 1H bottom hole is up on the east end of Woody Wilson Rd.  which would appear to be outside of the unit as described by the unit declaration. Maybe the unit will be amended?

Close to half of the 1H horizontal is outside the unit. They will have to amend the unit to include all of the 1H well, but I don't understand why they make up a unit and record it while knowing it will have to be reconfigured later.

So 250 acres could be added to the Ceaser Unit and still be under the 1,280 maximum size allowed by law.

REX just reconfigured the JRGL Unit in Lancaster Township on 5/1/2013. Originally it was recorded on 8/1/2011 and consisted of 460 acres. Now it was changed to 605 acres, see attached.

But to Al Jarrett's question above, both the 1H & 2H wells will be in the Ceaser Unit and unfortunately I don't see how this unit could ever include his property, he's just too far north.

REX also recently reconfigured the Plesniak Unit which is adjacent to, and southeast of the Ceaser Unit. I guess  amending units is done all the time and looking at the northern boundary of the Plesniak Unit I can see where the Ceaser Unit will eventually abut with it where the 1H bottom hole is located.
