I know of all the current Marcellus permits issued in Clarion County, but was wondering what companies are activley leasing for deep wells.  Also, what kind of signing bonus, royalty, and lease terms are getting tossed around.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Heard that Stone energy is surveying a site in ashland township. Expect to start in September.
Do you know where in Ashland Township? Any idea about the lease rates and royalty? Riverbend O&G has already inked a deal for 3K/acre in the area, not sure on the royalty or exact location...

Stone was beating the bushes a couple of months ago and making laughable offers of $200/acre, but are finally coming around to reality and I have heard they offered one land owners group $1500/acre with a higher royalty, but the group turned them down.

Most of the folks that I have been talking with will not sign for less than 3K with a higher royalty. If the royalty comes down, people want some more money up front.

This is just how things started out NE and they are seeing lease payments much higher than ours...I know the formation is not as thick, but it is much shallower and easier to get to from what I have read.
i don't know where in ashland township stone energy is operating, but i heard of a company called D&L energy has applied for a sales point on NFG pipeline behind hirschs meat market, close to the road that turns off to go to high level golf course. seneca resources is leasing in venango county pinegrove township. 500/acre 12.5%/ 5years. anybody know what company and where the drilling permit is in president township venango county ? looks like drilling activity is picking up in are area. hopefully leaseing offers pick up also.
anyone heard of MDS energy from kittanning pa. ?
MDS Energy is run by the son of Snyder Borthers.
Is this the Knapp Oil & Gas
The site for Stone energy is at the intersection of Oak Grove and Bus Mong Road
I was offered 1500 an acre 15 % royalty on a top lease. Was wondering how far they can horizontally drill. Also what happens if only part of your property ends up being included in a production unit.
i have heard of companys drilling 5000 feet hoizontally, but i think the average lateral is 3000 feet. what company made you the offer? it is one of the better offers i have heard in this area, seneca is only offering 500/ 12.5/ 5years.
Matt, The company is homeland energy . BB
Is there a location to lookup permits and access lease filings? i.e.; online, court house etc. It would be beneficial to see the degree of activity nearby. I know of one neighbor being offered 1,500 acre upfront and 14% .
