ELK TOWNSHIP - There has been a lot of talk about the Marcellus Shale gas reserves and the drilling boom it is bringing to Pennsylvania , but in Clarion County , it has been only talk until this year.

The Marcellus Boom is huge in Southwest and Northeast Pennsylvania , but only a few permits have been issued and only one Marcellus well has been started in Clarion County so far.
