I have the mineral rights in Clarion County with a lease from the 1920's.  The lease states that it is in effect as long as it is producing 'paying quanities' of gas.  The lease was changed to a flat rate lease in the 70's when another family member owned the mineral rights.  I believe the wells are no longer producing in 'paying quanities' in these shallow wells but the company is just tying up the lease on wells that should have been plugged.  Any advice?  It is a 70 acre area and another person owns the surface rights.
