UPDATE ADAMECK#1 GREENFIELD TWNSHIP TEST WELL AND POTENTIAL FOR ERIE COUNTY ACTIVITY

The holdup in flow testing that well is a dispute between the driller of the well, Utica Resources and the owner of the well Indepth Exploration.  They were exploring bringing a gas line to their site with National Fuel Gas a public utility company and EmKeyEnergy,LLC an Erie based company anErie,Pa. based company that acquired $37million dollars in assets from Norse Company including gas pipeline distribution lines.

EmKeyEnergy,LLC. has recently acquired over 20+ gas leases on over 1,300 acres in the Wattsburg area

where over the last many decades over 500 Medina wells were drilled.  We are all awaiting the test results

of the Adameck#1 well but until the internal dispute is resolved those tests are put on hold.  Weatherford tested the well and the information that was made available was that it tested well for gas (900+hit) in two

areas and the depth of the Utica around 179'. Keep in mind that was oral information not confirmed.

Conversations with others in the gas industry seem to have interest in the Upper Devonian as well as the Utica.  The Upper Devonian is above the Marcellus a more permeable strata that in some cases  can be

naturally fracked and obviously less expensive to capture and in some areas a history of good production.

Obviously the price of gas below $4 is an issue and there are forecasts of increased gas prices.

There have been discussions with the Erie County Economic Development Company, the company that is pushing the Erie Port project to help with pipeline distribution in Erie County and  but he Erie Port project will allow participants of the gas industry to use shipping over water to lessen the impact of heavy equipment over our roads as well as it  being less expensive to use the Lakes.  Also opens up major eastern U.S  markets and export to Europe etc.,

Currently, other areas in Pa. where extensive Marcellus is being developed and infrastructure is in place

has attracted more activity than Erie County as newer technology is being developed and more experience in horizontal drilling is allowing the industry to improve efficiency, Erie County will eventually

be targeted.  The question remains whether Erie County will ready and able to encourage this activity sooner rather than later.  The economic benefits are important and the time differential will benefit the

environment in Erie County as safer and more efficient methods of drilling are discovered.

EmKey Energy has just completed a $10million natural gas processing plant in Union City, Pa.  EmKey Energy is a midstream company mostly dealing with building pipeline infrastructure.  It purchased $34million of distribution lines from Norse Energy and continues to expand gas distribution lines in New York and Pennsylvania.  Empire EnergyUS is part of a global public company based in Austraila and owns and leases 100's of natural gas wells and properties in the Wattsburg,Pa. area where Upper Devonian and Utica gas as well as TBR,Roserun, Trenton, etc below the Utica.  Their concentration is expected to be in the upper stratas (Upper Devonian) because it is shallower, easier to frac and a known producer for many years.

SLC Energy has permitted one well in Albion and so far no indication of any permits being issued in Greenfield, Venango or Greene Township. The Adameck#1 well is still in a dispute with the owner and the driller.

The holdup on the activity seems to be the pace which they are attracting funding.  Hopefully the dispute on Adameck#1 well gets resolved and the

results of that well producing.

If anyone else in Erie County knows anymore specifics I would appreciate your posting the information on this site.

Ronald Coleman, COO of SLC Energy commented on his facebook page that the first of four wells are in the permitting process in the next few weeks.

After drilling a testing well in Greenfield Township, Adameck#1, the driller has joined with SLC Energy and leased additional land in the area and is in the permitting process of the first four new wells.     www.facebook.com/slcenergy

It looks as if SLC Energy is moving forward on permitting its first new well in Erie County since Adameck#1.  They list on their web site www.slcenergy.com 10+

new wells under "Projects".  My interest is that I am part owner of a 270 acre lease

4.5 miles from Adameck#1 that was purchased by EMKey Energy, a mid-stream

Erie, Pa. based energy company that specializes in pipeline distribution lines and

ownership of natural gas properties.  They mainly, imo, are interested in the gas distribution business and like ourselves are following the progress of Adameck#1

to get an idea of the makeup of the land below the area.  As we all realize that most of the activity has been in the southern area where Marcellus shale is getting the attention.  I am just a landowner without much knowledge of the gas business that is trying to attract activity to Erie County and specifically drilling in the area where we own property.  My information comes from other people and what I can find on the internet and it is difficult to know what is real and what is not so real.  I try to be careful

about what I post and try to be accurate but when gas companies are trying to attract investors and yet limit competition from other companies it is very difficult to separate the real from the promotions.

Obviously when I hear that Adameck#1 was going to be a Utica test well just 4.5 minutes from our property I was interested in their results.  I knew from research of the owner of the well that he was mainly and oil company and from I could discern they were looking for oil as well as natural gas.  When the owner of the well and the driller were having a dispute which I do not want to get into because I do not want

to get involved in that situation, I am just looking for information that would help our property develop a well site, but the facts as I know them is that Adameck#1 is on "hold" status with the DEP.  Information on the internet indicates that the driller of the well has now joined SLC Energy which looks as if it is made up of relatives of the driller and that they are moving ahead with Adameck#2,3,4,5 and have also leased other properties (10+) not only in Greenfield Township, Erie County but Venango and

Greene Township, Erie County.  That looks to me as a big commitment based on the test results of Adameck#1.  I noticed that amongst the various photos on the internet

that a photo of the driller, Ron Coleman holding a flask or glass holder of what looks to me like a dark liquid.  I posted that photo on my facebook page and to me it looks like an oil sample, but it is only my guess.  The facts as I know them is that they were looking for oil, tested Adameck#1, leased more land and are now moving ahead with serious drilling plans and now have teamed up with family members and others to

continue the process.  Could you people who have more experience in the gas business venture a guess what that liquid in that flask represent and is that normal to have a liquid like that as part of a natural gas well?

SLC Energy has posted on their web page,  www.slcenergy.com under "fundamentals of drilling" a map of the next wells they are proposing to drill

in Greenfield Township, Erie County, Pa.  I will try to post this map but if it does not show, check with the web site.

Does anyone know what the relationship is between Emkey Energy LLC, the owner of adamek 1 and SLC energy, LLC the company that is drilling the new wells around the Adamek 1.

EmKey Energy is not the owner of Adameck#1.  The owner of Adameck#1 is Indepth Exploration

www.indepthexploration.com   They used Utica Resources to drill the well.  For some reason

unknown Indepth Exploration is in a dispute with Utica Resources and Adameck#1 has not been

flow tested.  Weatherford Consulting tested the geology of the well.

EmKey Energy is a large midstream gas company in Erie, Pa. who mainly is in the gas distribution business and purchased $34 million of Norse Energy distribution lines and some of their wells.  EmKey also purchased 20+ gas leases on 1,400+ acres in the area of Wattsburg.

One of those leases is a 270 acre parcel that I am part owner which is why I follow this closely.

One of the principals of Utica Resources joined SLC Energy  and their web site shows

large land parcels being leased in the area of Adameck#1 and Venango and Greene Townships

as indicated on their web site  www.slcenergy.com.  The parties have not been forthcoming of much information but a web search indicated the information on this posting.

Thanks for the info George.

It might be interesting to know whether, or not, the contractors who drilled, cemented, etc were ever paid for their work.
