Should be interesting.........shock gobbling to the sounds of big diesel engines....hahah
They have the vertical hole done. They are bringing in the big rig to start the laterals/horizontal drilling soon. Can anyone explain a subsurface agreement of some sort that gives permission to drill outside the unit and then back in to the unit? They supposedly can drill outside the unit just not produce outside the unit. They are requesting this because they want to also go SE off the Fritz pad and need permission to do so.
The unit starts at the entry point in the target shale layer, not at the surface drill pad. I have seen a few plat maps where the drill pad is outside of the unit. Has anyone seen the plat map for this well?
That could be the reason then. The well pad is on the SE edge of the fritz unit drilling to the NW. They want to use the same well pad to drill a new unit to the SE. I think there is possibly some distance between the 2 units of a few hundred feet
This is the plat map for the Clark well:http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/mineral/oil/MRMImages/17/1/232653.pdf
The well pad is outside of the drilling unit.
What is the length of this unit Phil. Cant read it on my phone & not at my computer, just curious.
The Clark 580007 is 6547' long.
thx
I used the ODNR Oil and Gas well viewer:https://gis.ohiodnr.gov/website/dog/oilgasviewer/
Zoom in on the well that you want information about, then click on the identify button, then click on the Well summary report link. If the plat map is available there be a link to it at the bottom of the Well summary report. The plat maps are not yet available for the Fritz well.
I just received a letter from TGS wanting permission to perform seismic testing under the freeport 3d south project. Stated they will be doing testing later this year. I was wondering if any one else has received a similiar letter. I am in Millwood township on Putney Ridge.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
