I've heard alot of talk about all the guernsey county landowners who got shafted by Carrizo & Shell/swepi,Wishguard. wanting to band together to form a new group. once screwed, twice shy. It's gonna take someone to head it up who is well experienced & willing to fight for all the provisions this group is gonna demand. This group is gonna want an O&G co. that will pay fast & drill fast. None of this getting people to sign so they can tie up the land for years kind of stuff. I've heard that in louisiana, when they sign up land, they have about 2 weeks to search the deed & get the landowner paid! Maybe it'll get that way here in a year or two. Right now we just dont know any better, so they try to get away with whatever they can. when the pipelines get laid & the processing plants get built,& the numerous rigs move in,things will be much better for the landowners that have'nt been leased yet. patience is the key word here. anyone interested? I've heard Jennifer Garrison has negotiated some good leases for groups. Ed Susteric also. This forum seems like a good place to start. most people have computers now.

Please look under the Guernsey County comment wall. KWGD is forming another landowners group for people that have been in the same situations that you refer to. The contact info is there for you. Good Luck!!
I was a signer with the original KWGD Guernsey Co. group & I will say... that company seems to know their stuff & if they are indeed forming another group to assist those left behind in the first pass, then I would be one to highly recommend them!

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
