Does anyone know of any company actively leasing in Franklin Twp? We are about 1000 ft N of the proposed entry point. We were offered and accepted $5200.00 per acre plus 18.75% from Hess. When Hess did the deed research they voided the contract saying our parcel was held by production. This was in June 2012. In Oct 2011 the party that did a lease with Atlas in 1972 filed an affidavit of non-compliance as they were not being paid any royalties. I believe this cleared our property from the held by production issue. Hess's landman says we are cleared but says they are no longer leasing in this area. It appears that Hess thinks it will be a productive well; they cancelled the permit for the pilot well
RE: CNXHAR 13N7W 1P-16- Cancellation of Approved Permit #34-067-2-1095-00-00
Dear Mr. Opritza,
HESS Ohio Developments, LLC respectfully submits the following request for cancellation of the
approved permit for the above referenced well in Franklin Township, Harrison County. Based on our
cunent offset data, we have a high enough confidence in the geologyto drill the horizontal well in the
Point Pleasant without a pilot hole.
If anyone has any leads it would be very much appreciated. We are a small group of neighbors with only about 8.5 acres...small fish in a big pond.

call mark pertz at 814-590-4514.........he is currently trying to lease 2 acres from me in franklin but it is in the extreme southeast corner of the twp......deersville...............for AEP.
is that well you are talking about the one on plum rd?
Thanks for the fast reply :) I will try him now. Yes it is on Plum Run
Try AEP they have a deal with Red Hill. Red Hill holds a lot of acres by production in Franklin Twp. Our land is held by them so I have looked at the ODNR maps and they hold a lot of Franklin.
You may want to try Chevron as they have just drilled the well over the hill off 250, so you are pretty close to one of their wells.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
