I was by this well pad a week ago today and there was a rig present. Since there are 2 legs in production on this well pad they are drilling at least the 3rd leg if not more.

Permalink Reply by Booger on April 22, 2013 at 6:50am see attached DU's.......not sure which one is correct...south legs seem goofy.
center north 1-33H and center south 5-33H are drilled.
south east 4-33H currently being drilled.
Guessing by the date on the maps, I'd say the bottom one is the most current since it's dated in 2013. Looks like the size of the drilling unit remained the same. I talked with a Gulfport manager last week and he said they wanted to wrap up the boy scout operation before scouts started using the property for the summer. Not sure if he was talking about drilling, or fracking a well.

Permalink Reply by Booger on May 29, 2013 at 6:53am the lateral spacing seems very odd.......400' on one, 600' on another, 800' on another and over 1,000' on another.......?.....maybe they are different depths..?
Permalink Reply by Booger on May 28, 2013 at 6:51am was at the scout pad friday morning........lots of activity....rig is gone....many tankers moving in (presumably water).....frack pumps on pad.
Permalink Reply by Booger on May 29, 2013 at 6:54am here is a pic of what i heard is a compresser station.......just over the hill on 799.
Permalink Reply by Booger on June 3, 2013 at 3:20am yesterday - frack pumps gone (a few frack tanks were there).....large grey tanks gone........they were feeding some kind of hose or tubing down the wellbore from a large reel.........also working on some of the "refining" equipment near the 14 big tanks.
also saw a little activity on friday at the scout camp....looks like they are preparing for the season.
Permalink Reply by Booger on June 11, 2013 at 2:40am yesterday.......rig back up....they must be drilling it out completely.
Maybe they're drilling out the frac plugs.

Permalink Reply by Booger on June 11, 2013 at 4:16am i didnt know they drilled out the frac plugs......it seems like a smallish rig so that could be exactly what they are doing.
Permalink Reply by Booger on June 24, 2013 at 5:38am june 23rd......all mobile equipment gone.....looks like 4 wellheads.
....many tents pitched at the camp.
also there has been a good size crane sitting at the compresser station (or whatever that is) over the hill on 799....and they are seeding the pipeline row.
Permalink Reply by Booger on October 14, 2013 at 9:12am went by the other day........little activity......the "mini refinery" is painted up nice and a small flare burning........#2 came on line last week....#5 back in june........#1 last November........#5 is center south, #1 is center north and #2 is westside north spaced 800' from #1.........I think #4 eastside south is drilled but I guess not producing yet...according to the map, #4 is spaced 600' from #5.
2013 Q-3 production results for the Boy Scout pad:

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
