I dont know when the next meeting of jefferson county group is  but Trey Peterson an attourney in Steubenville is the person to contact he would be good to talk to .

we had a meeting last night with trey petersons group. They are looking for interested parties that want to sign a letter of intent for an offer that they believe Chesapeake will accept. 2250 per acre and 17% royalty. If you are interested contact Brown, Peterson law offices.

I have some concerns that the OVLG letter of intent does NOT provide for removal of any & all contaminated water &/or fracking fluid to be removed from the Lessor's property.  Storing contaminated water &/or fracking fluid in open pits etc. can lead to leaks & contamination of ground water.  All fluids should be removed from the site or a Mobile Evaporator should be used onsite.

Hi,

I know the OVLG presented on offer to Chesapeake but wondered how it went. Looked to me in the lease like they were leasing all shales and not just Marcellus. Also might have been some gray area in the market enhancement clause of the lease.  Were these addressed, did Chesapeake accept the offer, are there any more meetings planned, and is membership still available.

OVLG got their deal done with CHK - $2400/17.5%/CHK pays their attorneys fee. 5 year lease w/3 year extension. Gross royalty addendum and a bunch of other ones. Didn't get a vertical pugh clause or depth severance but got a horizontal pugh and only 60 acres can be hbp on a vertical well, about as close as you can get to a vertical pugh without actually having it in there. They are still taking people until June 17, but no guarantee from CHK that they'll take the add ons (even though they probably will).

At the meeting Monday Trey mentioned something about CHK taking top leases. They might take you as part of the group on a top lease, ask Trey.
