Gulfland Appalachian is active in the areas of Johnson County and Lawrence County KY. Recent leases offered by them seems to have been $200.00 to $300.00 per acre plus 12.5%. Your right oilgasnovice. There is a lot to get familiar with. The worst thing you can do is sign the first lease that comes along, without doing a little research first.
Permalink Reply by oilgasnovice on Received the lease from Gulfland. $200 a acre for a 5 year lease with a 5 year option. Will not be signing this lease after reading and researching more. Will wait for a better bonus amount and much better terms. I feel sorry for those who have signed not knowing what is really going on. I have heard of some folks getting $80 per acre and signing for that. That is like giving the farm away.
