i also stumbled upon the nepala guys.theyy sent me disc and promo materials.i am looking into it.upside is they appear to employ some professionals to ensure contracts are adhered to,and help solve post deal issues. They do take a cut though.i am weighing the cut vs contract enforcement.I am thinking it could be a major time consuming hassle to enforce contract adherance.without engineers and legal eagles i am not myself likley to be able to fight a gas company if they stray off the path.Typical landowner groups don't have pro's in their corner and would have a hell of a time if something goes wrong.the gas companies have lawyers up the wazoo and could be expected to try to steam roll landowners after contracts are signed.I need to know if the state government has the capacity and personel in place to help landowners, doubt it.

I am in a group of landowners located in Lackawanna County and Wyoming County, not very far from your location. The group was formed to represent the people who got overlooked by the recent Chesapeake deal (which was to cover all of us).
Send an email to Yvonne at WyomingRefugees@gmail.com and she can tell you what is happening. (FREE group, by the way)

I am looking for a new landowner group to join in lackawanna county. Does anyone know of one ? I was with Conservation Services but they signed a unappealing lease with Whitmar so I optioned not to sign with them. Does anyone know anything good or bad about Pa. Drilling Consltants. They have a group called Northeast Pennsylvania Landowners Association (NEPALA).

Oh, I'm quite sure ONE of the companies will be looking to pick up the unleased land in our area. There are still some nice big contiguous pieces waiting for a fair offer...
Just a matter of time.

I think your probably right.Wyo group had a lot of realestate, that matters.Groups stand a better chance of big numbers than small parcels. If a group does the work, and forms up,makes gas co. job easier, and they more incentive to pay large.I belong to a smallish group, wyo and lackawanna land owners.anyone interested in joining us,send contact info, parcel info, pin #s etc and i will pass to our group lawyer. You have nothing to loose by joining group, everything to gain.
