Drove past the Whiting well today, and saw that there are 15 (i think) collection tanks down over the hill behind the mound of soil that is just past the well site. They are still drilling, and havent fracked anything yet. I suppose they are expecting something big.... I heard they are drilling 4 wells at this first drilling session. Almost done drilling i believe. Any info?

Rick,
Sometimes you will see a more local issue posted on the main forum and someone will recommend re-posting on a County site. In the case of our County site , I think the reverse is true.
You may want to re-post this question in the main forum. Sad but true.............
Rick, I stopped by the Whiting site today & didn't see the tanks. What color are they? Did you see them from Garner Rd. or Rt 551?
Hi Bob, Garner road... they are behind the huge pile of soil that is about 1000 ft past the well on the lft going from 551. By the way I went to school with a Bob Moran... Are you originally from Beaver county?
Thanks Rick. The next time I'm by there I'll stop & check it out again. I'm originally from Youngstown.
The drilling rig is no longer up at the Whiting site, but there's several water trucks & a lot of activity. I was told that the rig's been moved to the site behind Rolling Hills golf course, between Pulaski & New Bedford off of Rt. 208. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
Just talked to a guy from Haliburton, the just finished doing some seismic testing on the Whiting well.
This is prior to fracking.
Also, Hilcorp has purchased the Wallace construction building on Rt 208 in Pulaski to put offices in.
Yeah, they must be REAL disappointed with what they're finding since they're taking up a residence here.... People are hilarious.
Yep soooo disapointed that they are even installing a pipeline to the new well behind the golfcourse... and they only started drilling the first well there about 10 days ago...
I see they lit the flare there.... we shall see... in 6 months or so huh?
The flare was only lit for a few days... I wonder if there was a problem. The Mayberry well has been flaring for weeks now.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
