Drove past the Whiting well today, and saw that there are 15 (i think) collection tanks down over the hill behind the mound of soil that is just past the well site. They are still drilling, and havent fracked anything yet. I suppose they are expecting something big.... I heard they are drilling 4 wells at this first drilling session. Almost done drilling i believe. Any info?

I wondered that also Lance. They are two different companies that drilled those two sites, so they obviously have different techniques. I do see that they are installing pipelines from whiting wells to the golf course wells.... so i think they know there are good returns ahead! Also heard that there will be another site next year close just east up on 208... in the spring i believe.

She's flaring again, and I must say MUCH more impressive than last time. 20ft. plus flame easy.

I saw that also, and by he way, with the bright site lights shining through the exhaust just above the flame, you can see that it is a pretty dirty operation... looks like a lot of soot going up into the atmosphere....i think its such a waste, and it definately is a source of pollution.. you can clearly see it at night.  I dont like it, especially since there are cleaner ways to finish the well.... I am for natural gas development though.. just use the latest technology. Its not like the price of NG will become cost prohibitive to use if they have to spend a relatively little more to complete the well in a cleaner way!

Oh yes, I forgot....

i saw on the news that someone is applying for permits to build a gas gen powerplant in north beaver twp, lawrence county... way to go!

The flare was gone this morning.

The other day, i saw that they moved the flare to down over the hill, by the tank battery.... it was going full throttle down there... huge flame! Haven been by for the last couple days...

Flaring back up at the drill site again... and this time its bright orange with black flames imbedded in it, and black smoke coming off the top of the flame... could this be oil?

I was told that one of the wells went inline on Monday

What infastructure was there available to connect the well??

Any news on the whiting or kinkela well? The rig is already gone from the golf course.
