Has anyone else been approached about replacing a small gas line with a 36"?  The line runs North/South in Eastern Milton twp.  Several neighbors have been contacted by the company.  None of them could remember the name.

Is this a major line they're talking of replacing or one of the countless old Clinton well tie togethers? Only major line I can think of in Milton runs northwest/southeast,( by the Dave Getches attempt). Maybe 1 or 2 20 or 24's in there I believe, put in early 60's.

All I know at this point is that they want to replace this existing small line with one 36" but they want a ROW for a possible second.  The exact location of the line is just East of the old Dogwood Golf Course.  I'm not sure where it goes from there other than North/South.

A guy that lives on Weaver Rd. told me over a year ago that he'd been approached about a pipe line & he told them to hit the road with their low ball offer & said he was told "we'll do it any how". That would line up pretty well south of the old golf course. I don't recall company name either.

Sounds about right.

I hope they find a way to make it happen though.  We need some kind of infrastructure in our corner of Mahoning County to open things up.

Cobra has been building something on weaver, that looks like a compression station, the last two days. There is a gas line that runs east to west and one that runs along weaver. Maybe somebody on here has more info?

Sunoco is planning on replacing an east west line south of 224 through Ellsworth twp into Berlin.  It's a 6 inch now and supposed to be bigger but not sure how big...could be related.

Halcon has also talked to many landowners in Ellsworth twp about a north south line.  They have ROWs with a few of them.

I wonder if this is where Halcon will be going with their production from North Jackson and Lordstown.  Do you suppose they'll try to get it all the way to Kensington (it will be maxed out with Col./Car. Co. wells) or wait on the possibility of having a Northern Cryogenics plant?  Does'nt sound like the wells north of us will help with any large scale investment in processing up here.  This may be a small part of the reason Halcon stock is so low.

Are any of these pipelines heading towards Halcon's Rail Facility at the Space Center in Lordstown??

I have'nt heard much about the Rail Facility of late.  I think Halcon being broke and the poor performing wells of Northern Trumbull county would seriously hurt that project.

There's also been some activity at the old Sinclair location on Ellsworth Rd. (Across from the old Gutman Oil) Don't know what they're doing, but there were big tanks on that side of the road many years ago as well.  For sure some infrastructure won't hurt, but I'm guessing that there's a lot to be learned about tapping these northern regions. It's hard to believe companies like BP would invest the kind of money they have if the product wasn't there. It might just be chump change to BP, but BP didn't become BP by being stupid. Everyone might be rushing south to the sweet spot, but that doesn't mean they won't keep working to unlock the potential of their investment in the north at some point in the future & infrastructure in place won't hurt.

I totally agree.

I just hope that it comes soon enough for some of the old boys to enjoy it.
