I got a call from wishguard earlier today and was wondering if anyone had any updates on them and what there offers were? Any success stories? Any horror stories?

Total snakes. They take your lease and find someone else to buy it. Cut out the middle man and wait for a company that is officially brokering for a major to come take your lease.
I don't have any information on Wishgard but would like to know how they are up tp in Monroe County.

I was offered $3,000/acre and 17.5% royalty (I may be off on the royalty amount he quoted but I know the bonus was $3,000) a couple weeks ago.  Personally, Wishgard is not the company for me.  I agree with Marcus that Wishgard just takes a cut of what you should be receiving and I really don't feel they have pushed the numbers high enough to make it attractive to sign with them.

Hey Jeremy, Do you know if Gulfport is still using Wishgard as their contractor? I thought they put their own landman into the Play. Haven't heard any real activity from them for sometime. Any idea what terms are current with Gulfport? Thanks ,

Randy

Hello Randy,

I'm not sure if Gulfport is still active with Wishgard.  I was contacted by one of Wishgard's landmen via phone and I did not ask for any additional information once he told me the signing bonus and royalty.  He tried to convince me how good the lease is but I really didn't waste the time to go over it.  In regards to Gulfport I have never communicated with them and I don't have any idea what there current terms are.  Sorry I couldn't help.  If I hear of anything I will pass it on to you.

Jeremy

I would agree. I am with a land group that I consider to be very high quality and don't really have any intentions of leaving. But I'm one to always stay as informed as possible.

Thomas,

What group are you with?

See Wishgaerd Post in the Ohio landowner Forum

h bo,

What are their terms in regards to sign on bonus and royalty?

What area (township)? Are the immediate neighbors already leased to Gulfport?

Who did chevron meet with?

There was no meeting in monroe county with an offer from Chevron.
