I'm looking for a reputable (and insured/bonded) title search company to do a search on some of my OLD family deeds going back to the 1890's to establish mineral rights for some property in Monroe County.

Have you completed a title search with a company you would recommend? If so, please private message me or reply to this dicussion.

Thank you!

You may be able to use a Title Co or an attorney to review the deeds you have. Attn Mike Gruber @ 330-497-2886 has reviewed several Monroe deeds as of late. Or call me I represent McKinley Title Agency @ 330-806-2029
You can do this yourself in the county recorder's office.

Hello Robyn If you have the time to spend 3 or 4 days at the court house it is not really that hard to do your own search .

Just be sure to write down each book and page number as you go along including the years and number of the books that hold the leases for coal and oil,gas . It actually gets very interesting if you can spare the time . It does get interesting when certain properties were acquired in sherrif sales . You even get to see how the families fight over rights in some instances .

There are quite a few of them, Im retired from Mortgage Business, So I don't have the numbers but you can google them Lenders service, Nations title are both national firms, Jim Peters in Woodsfield did ours when we bought our property in Monroe county
