As with the March NYT article about wastewater, this one is less than meets the eye.  The articles has a feeling of being outdated.  A lot of emails from 2009. Two years is a long time with a technology this young. And the questions raised are ones everybody is asking.  There is nothing ground-breaking here.  Just a bunch of emails that are over 2 years old.

Both articles talk about dry-gas areas exclusively, which has little to do with the current interest we're seeing in Ohio.  What bothers me about the NY Times article is that it's intentionally outdated and irrelevant to the wet-gas plays that are the current focus.  It doesn't say a word about Eagle Ford or Marcellus.
