Well Its a done deal...Scott. Anyone can comment all they want. Some are the same people that swore by this group and then changed to that group..etc...The bottom line is I have a contract ,  (a decent contract) and getting started now could mean royalties sooner. A few months of royalties could be the difference between what you got ...and what you hope you'll get...lol.

Bob, the CEO Ben Hulburt told us yesterday that they want to drill 10-12 wells with in the next year....sounds good to me.

Scott: The reason property is supposedly more valuable bordering Guernsey Co has 2 possible reasons.  One: it can be added to already leased land on the Guernsey side to increase a drilling unit. Two: there's a map  circulating that shows shale oil only across the northern section of Noble Co that borders Guernsey Co,  with the rest of Noble having wet gas. Other maps show all of Noble Co as oil shale as well as further south into Washington Co, so it depends which mapping they believe. I think Noble has oil because counties east of us and west of us are leased for oil, so the land in the middle, OURS, is probably not a dry hollow. We just have to wait for some test wells to prove it's oil, and then we'll see oil companies here offering at least similar amounts as they offered our neighbors. They're going to start low, because that's the precedent that's been set. But, they're running out of land to lease and they want all they can get. Remember there was an ad in the Jeffersonian wanting to hire "landmen" to invade Noble County 2 weeks ago, and I think that says it all.

 I talked with them as well T.P. They seemed like decent guys smaller but ambitious. They were also up front and said that anyone who tells you they wont sell  to a bigger company is not being honest ...However they are not there to flip land , they are there to drill and have already started.They seemed to be very happy with my acreage.. I can practically throw a rock into Gurnsey from my front yard but as stated...for the time being...it is an Eclipse ball game. Glad you like it rare..me to...lol and I do intend to have that dinner with you all as soon a the check arrives.

Judy, I you are right and profit in the end. All of my friends in Noble though took the deal and signed yesterday. Its all a gamble to some extent.

Thanks Scott. And conratulations. What was the total acreage your group presented for leasing? I haven't heard any numbers on that. And the ones I heard in Guernsey were not as big as I expected.

Judy, we are at 15,000 with additional acreage still being accepted.

Hey, everyone who was going to the meeting of Des Wertheimer's, Ohio LandownersConsultants for Noble Co, at the Noble Co Fairgrounds this Thursday night, the meeting is postponed to next week, same time, 6:00pm, same place, Community Center. This Thursday he is presenting a lease offer to his Monroe County landowners where he represents 42,000 acres. I'll let you know terms when I hear about them.
