Why the status of the O&G wells on the ODNR web site can be very out-dated ...
"... Heidi Hetzel-Evans, spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, said a well operator does not have to file any information about a well's status with the state agency until 60 days after a "fracking" or hydraulic fracturing operation is complete. Once the well goes into production, the state requires annual production reports ...."
So, the information on the ODNR web pages can be up to 60 days behind reality and that is considered "normal" .
