Permalink Reply by David Ross on January 28, 2012 at 1:26am This stuff is all NEW to me but what i heard from a Geologist that they go in with a small rotary rig and do a vertical hole and come back in with the larger rig to do the turrning with this method. They can do short-radius, medium-radius, and long-radius. But with the slant-hole well i think they us the big rig all the way down?????
QUESTION So can they put a vertical wells in and hold it till they can come back later to do the turning???? Good way to hold a lease???
