Number of leases expiring?

I have seen comments that Shell is supposedly letting some of the East leases expire.  But when I search in Landex, I don't find what looks like releases.   Anyone know what the PA document title is for a release?

Ann,

I recently requested a surrender of lease for a client with an expired East Resources lease in Tioga County.  SWEPI/Shell Appalachia promptly complied with the request and filed the surrender in the Recorder of Deeds  Office at their expense.  The document title is "Surrender of Oil and Gas Lease"  and shows up as "Surrender" in the Landex search results.

Thank you.  I did see a few Surrenders,  But I recognized the name on one and it was of a top lease after the original lease was hbp before it expired.  Perhaps people whose leases have expired don't realize that they may have to make written request that a surrender be recorded.
