SWN bought out Chesapeake's remaining TC holdings a year+ ago.  (Came in a bundle with the other northern tier properties.)  Don't know if it is deserved, but SWN has a reputation of being a low-cost producer who will develop less-than-prime areas.

What is a horizontal delineation well?  Will have to check Landex for Tioga.  Haven't bothered for awhile.  Thanks for the info.

I don't *know* the answer. But it looks like they're test wells, primarily to determine the horizontal extent of the (promising) shale deposit? (Vertical would be for thickness?)
