I spoke to one of the Consol representatives at the Shale conference a couple weeks ago to see what the status on the well.  She said Consol was reevaluating their position in the Utica.  The well site had been prepared and is ready for a rig to drill.  I have heard the well site has had some problems which is probably the cause of the delay. From what I was told, they used different stone for the well pad than is normally used.  During a rain event earlier in the summer, there was some run off and some fish died in a local stream.  I don't know if it was proved or not, but people were blaming the fish kill on contaminants from the site.  Consequently, all of the stone is being hauled out of that site and there won't be drilling in the near future.
