Does anyone think they will ever drill? Seems like they've been going to start for the last 2 years......wondering if they are just going to be a huge flipper?

Investigating further I input the well number in "Completions" at odnr and found that this site was perhaps drilled in 1987 and so this may be a repermit. Also maybe this part of the Kleski property is leased to Enervest because the completion report lists Enervest as being the owner since 2005.

Going to the map it looks like this well is on property owned by Vinka not Kleski, unless Kleski just owns the oil and gas rights. Or are they going to do a Lateral from this well

through the Kleski property. Complicated.

A friend told me he heard that chevron bought all of sierra buckeyes minerals in rush and mill townships, did anyone else hear this.  Tena

Tena,

Thanks for the GOOD info about Chevron.  See my separate post "Chevron in Tuscarawas" on Tuscarawas County Discussion for the information that I have.

Got a letter from Sierra Buckeye today.  They are letting their lease in the Gnadenhutten area expire as they could not  find a partner to drill with therefore, could not economically justify developing the lease.  They paid $4000 per acre for the  lease and now  letting it expire.

I am sure you will be leased again by someone who has deeper pockets.  Was your lease expiring soon?

Sounds like you made $4k per acre for not a whole lot of effort. If/when your area gets developed, you will be free to seek the best deal in the marketplace. You should also be a whole lot more informed next time the opportunity arises since it won't be your first time at the rodeo.

That's too bad...I liked the folks from Sierra.
