Road markings

I just noticed road markings painted on the road, with a stake on the road side.Markings are   an X with a circle around it and   egl #1   under the circle.  There ar 4 of these...numbered 1-4, spaced about every 1000 feet.  I heard mention that these are "well sources".   Could they be indicating location of laterals under the road?  I don't think any UNIT has been declared in the area.See More

"yes...thier assets  exceed thier debts.   The low NG prices has hurt the cash flow to support the land grab/drilling costs.....hence the JV deals and sales in othe shale plays......I like what I hear....they are selling other assets…"

zoning really does not matter but I would not want to upset the neighbors. The more industrial and remote the better. We hide them pretty well but there is alot of truck traffic.

I would love a sight in Carroll or Harrison county. Although east of new philly is pretty close.

i can make an offer either way, if it is direectly on a state route. where is the property located? How much would you sell it for?

I would offer you 2% of gross which means you get paid on every barrel put down the hole. Usually it means about $5,000-$10.000 per month for the landowner. This depends on how the well takes fluids of course.

Paul, you're one of the frequent visitors to this website. I'm sure that information to you gained over the last few months will serve you well during your meeting next week with Sierra. Good luck to you at this point

Paul, much of what you said is good news from my perspective. First off, you're negotiating at a pretty high level with your current oil and gas company. Secondly, you've become savvy and probably have a pretty good idea of what would be fair to all concerned. Good luck to you.
