Antero and Chesapeake are leasing.

5 star landowners group and Wishgard LLC are active in the area, but I don't know what they are trying to accomplish.

Has anyone heard of or seen any activity at the Hadley Well site, last info here was the guard was posted at the site . waiting on getting it fraced.

Hadley Well hit oil before it could be fraced - big problem. I don't know why. Maybe there is no pipe to get it out. They capped it.

I'm a member of the 5 Star Landowners Group. We meet approximately monthly for the purpose of educating ourselves about the whole issue of oil & gas extraction, and the issues surrounding leasing our properties' oil & gas rights including the current market value.

We began meeting in August 2011 and our number is growing.

Another purpose is to band together, use a consultant, and have greater bargaining power as our consultant negotiates directly with the drilling companies.

No-one who comes to the meetings is required to join our group, but the offer to join is made to all. Regardless of whether or not a landowner joins, he or she can come to the meetings and learn.

We are having interest shown from landowners in Tyler, Pleasants, Ritchie, Doddridge & Wetzel counties.

Our next meeting is 1pm, Saturday, Feb 25th, at the Log Cabin Building at the Tyler Co. Fairgrounds (Rt. 18, outside of Middlebourne). You are welcome!
