Hello I am new to all this gas stuff.  Well I am learning every day. Shell is supposedly in the area ? I live on 208 and my neighbors and I have leased some property to be mined for coal. No deep stuff. Will this impact my ability to lease for marcellus or utica?

Also I was wondering if any one else was contacted by them? I have lots of questions and would appreciate any help. Any one know a good gas lawyer and how much they charge ?

Thanks again....

I have a tentative meeting in Venango County November 16th to discuss options for landowners as well as the leasing process.  This meeting will cover issues that every landowner should understand before signing a lease.  Jason, works for Shell and he agrees and will tell you that every landownwer should talk to an attorney who works for you and not the O&G industry.
wow could you help us

I talked to the shell landman, Jason Hannath today and he confirmed that he is leasing acreage in lower Venango county.   He asked me to post that if anyone has any questions, he will be happy to answer what he can, but he also stated that it is best to email him with any request.   His email is jason_hannath@yahoo.com

He told me that he is presently only interested in parcels 50 acres or more and that if you have a request on a specific property, be sure to state the township and acreage amonut.

Got a call from Range on Saturday, they said they are interested in my 56 acres in Sandy Creek!
I encourage you to seek advice before meeting and/or signing a lease.
There is a landowner meeting on November 10 and 14th in Wayne Township and Mahoning Township.  Let me know if you want further details.

Hi Mark, Ben Hal Mining is currently taking the coal off my property so I think we are close.  Please contact me to discuss pulling our resources together. Also I heard there is going to be a meeting at the Clintonville Fire Hall soon.

Hi Ben, where is your property located.  How can we talk off line?
respond to my friend request.

I had a meeting of landowners in Venango Co Wed night that went very well. I explained all the of the pitfalls and loopholes that gas companies put in leases that I have learned about during 3 1/2 years of studying leases. Remember, all landmen work for the gas company ....not you!  Their job is to get the best deal possible for the gas company, not the landowner.

We are going to meet again in two weeks. If you own land in Venango Co ad want more info, email me at landownerslease@hotmail.com

Just to follow up. There 2 additional landowner meetings scheduled Nov. 21 at 6:30pm Scrubgrass Grange hall Emlenton-Clintonville Rd & Nov. 30 at 6:30pm Parker Fire Hall 204 Wayne Ave. Please come learn before you sign your rights away. All meetings free and open to the public.
