You are welcome, Mrs. Anderson.  I am very glad I could help. We are here to help each other, I think.

Additionally Ms. Mosley, do these accessor's files state that these properties are in my name or are my sister's involved as well, or maybe another name not connected with only me?

Ms. Mosley, I am not sure how you got my mailing address, but you should know that it is P.O. Box 315, Valrico, Fl. 33595 c/o Madeline Anderson or myself. Thank you for the information. Our families have existed in Roane County for a century or more. We only left as my husband(Boyd Anderson) was in the Air Force and we traveled extensively and settled here in Florida. Boyd passed in 1997 and I have been widowed since then and am not sure of what I own in W.V. Boyd handled all our financial affairs and I have not followed up with the latest innovations that have occured in our area. I receive a variable check from prime energy every month for oil rights on the Anderson farm. I am not real happy with this but it is a long term contract. I wish to know my options and would love to speak with you further. Your communications are helpful and your words ring of the truth.

Mrs. Anderson, I have a subscription to a service where I can look up things in the assessor's files around the state of WV. I found you in Roane County and printed a list of the 14 properties listed in your name. 2 say SUR which I think is surface only. 2 say FEE which is surface and mineral rights. The rest say OG which I guess means Oil and Gas, or mineral rights (not coal). I have your mailing address, from this website, and will put it in the mail on Monday. The Book and page information are the documents they have listed for how you acquired this, or maybe for how your ancestors acquired it. All in one district (listed). PARID means the parcel number (used by Roane County assessor).

When you get it, if you have any questions please ask.

Ms. Mosley, I am now 90. I was born and raised in Roane County as was my husband, Boyd Anderson. He has passed since 1997. My family (maiden name Ryan) and my four sisters now are past looking this up and I cannot even know where to begin. I think I sold oil rights to the Ryan farm and I do receive a monthly check, but it varies from month to month. I wish to find my property, what I own, in Roane county. I live inFlorida. I cannot travel and I do not have the knowledge to hunt this down. I cannot acess the couty accessors's office via the internet and phone calls have been unsuccessful. I believe I still have many acres of property available for gas rights. I want to know what you think.

                         Thank You,\

                         Lucy Charlotte Anderson

Ms. Anderson, I just joined the group and saw your question. Have you asked the county Assessor's office? If you still need an answer, please let me know. I might be able to help you.
