Shaler,
We all have alot a stake in this thing they call the Marcellus play. This site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home, or that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. As exciting it's as potential is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want our farms and land to remain a place where the family can continue to gather.
This site was born out of a discussion I had with family who own land in Wyoming County. They expressed a need for a place where information could be shared and a place where people could network. www.GoMarcellusShale.com allows us to communicate without being forced fed information certain entitities would like for us to consume and believe. This website provides us a platform to share information. A place to connect. And most importantly, a way to have a real voice in how this shale play, from New York to Ohio to West Virginia to Pennsylvania, develops.
Sure, you can't trust anything 100%, so be sure to verify what you read. But at its core, this site is filled with landowners and professionals who want to network and be of assistance. So thank you for joining (membership costs nothing) and have fun shaling.
