- I am a doctoral student in Geography at Kent State University, where I am examining the impacts of Marcellus Shale and Utica shale drilling on rural communities and agriculture. I come from Marion Township, Beaver County, PA, where I lived in the heart of some of the natural gas drilling which also peaked my interest. I hold a M.S. in Sustainable Systems and a B.S. in Parks and Resource Management, both from Slippery Rock University
