- I signed a lease originally with Carrizo Oil in 2011. Evidently Halcon Resources bought the leases in this area from Carrizo. Work began April 17, 2013 on the Avalon Pad drill site and although there has been much activity, I haven't heard whether the well is actually producing. Just trying to get as much info as possible.
